Energy Market Report
Mar 25, 2025Recent Developments in Today’s Market
Bullish – Bearish statement provided by AEP Energy Trading
March 24th – So, here’s the deal: natural gas and power took a hit for most of 2025, but if you’re looking at longer-term power, it’s holding up pretty well. Natural gas dropped more than 6 cents, and power followed suit, dipping again today. Real-time liquidations? Not performing as expected.
March 21st – Gas stayed flat, while power mostly trended lower. Weather models are calling for moderate temperatures ahead, so no big surprises there. Next-day power saw a bump, thanks to a forecast of low wind. Gas remained steady, but term power slipped on light trading.
